Are you a skilled and adventurous Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in medical-surgical tele nursing? CTTX Health is currently seeking a Travel Medical Surgical Tele RN to join our team for an exciting travel assignment As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to explore new places while providing high-quality patient care.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, monitoring and interpreting vital signs, and administering medication to patients in the medical-surgical tele unit. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong clinical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Valid RN license in the state of practice.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical surgical tele nursing.
BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
Experience with monitoring equipment and telemetry interpretation.
Excellent clinical skills and ability to handle a diverse patient population.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using electronic medical records systems.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, assessing patients, and administering medication.
Interpret telemetry results and detect any abnormalities.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Monitor, record, and report changes in patients' conditions.
Educate patients and their families about their conditions and treatment plans.
Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or supervising physician.
