Job Summary:The Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with medical and surgical needs. This role requires strong assessment, clinical, and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage a full patient load while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Deliver direct nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing wound care.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and update care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized patient care plans and coordinate treatments and interventions.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans.
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records, including treatment progress and nursing interventions.
- Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Act quickly and effectively in response to emergencies, utilizing advanced skills such as ACLS and BLS to stabilize patients.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Active RN license in NH.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience.
