Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Evaluate medical information and provide individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.
- Administer and record prescribed medications, ensuring accurate dosages and patient safety.
- Perform various medical procedures, including changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Adjust and calibrate specialized medical equipment as needed, interpreting and recording vital signs and measurements.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team on discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient files, medical charts, and health records.
- Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in Med-Surg/Tele nursing, with a strong preference for Tele experience.
- Proficiency in starting IVs, with a preference for Meditech experience.
- 2 professional references required.
- Locals are not accepted.
- Minimum qualifications include a valid RN license and BLS certification.
- Required vaccination status includes a booster, with medical or religious exemptions accepted.
