We are committed to excellence and are looking for a skilled Project Manager/Estimator to join our team and help drive our projects to successful completion.

Job Summary: The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for the planning, execution, and financial oversight of marine construction projects. This dual role involves accurately estimating project costs and managing the project lifecycle from initial bid to project closeout. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine construction, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimating:

    • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
    • Obtain and review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
    • Prepare and submit detailed and competitive bid proposals.
    • Conduct cost analysis and develop project budgets.
    • Maintain a database of historical cost data to aid in future estimates.

  • Project Management:

    • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones.
    • Coordinate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure project efficiency.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
    • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and prepare financial reports.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
    • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns.
    • Lead project meetings and coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
    • Prepare and submit regular project status reports to senior management.
    • Ensure all project records are maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine construction, with a focus on project management and estimating.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and estimating skills.
    • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
    • Proficient in project management and estimating software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid - Heavy Job).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
