Job Title: Commercial Roofing Estimator
Overview: As a Commercial Roofing Estimator, your primary responsibility is to assess and analyze roofing projects to provide accurate cost estimates. You will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to understand project requirements and ensure that estimates align with industry standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Assessment:
- Conduct on-site evaluations to assess roofing project requirements, considering factors such as materials, labor, and equipment needs.
- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to gain a comprehensive understanding of the scope of work.
- Cost Estimation:
- Utilize knowledge of roofing materials, labor costs, and market trends to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive cost database for accurate reference.
- Bid Preparation:
- Prepare and submit competitive bids for roofing projects in accordance with project specifications and deadlines.
- Work closely with the sales and project management teams to ensure alignment between estimated costs and client expectations.
- Actively collaborate with Sales team to prepare and submit client bids in a timely manner.
- Communication:
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
- Provide clear and detailed explanations of cost estimates to various stakeholders.
- Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to ensure competitive and up-to-date estimates.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Roofing Estimator, preferably in the Florida construction market.
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, construction methods, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in cost calculations.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and CSI Specifications.
Education: A bachelor's degree in construction management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant industry experience is required.
Location: This position is based in Stuart, Florida and requires frequent on-site visits for project assessments.
