Responsibilities:

Accountable for planning & developing service areas, improving the quality of laboratory services, effective communication, staff development, budget support, fiscal control, interdepartmental relations and personnel management. Assumes the leadership role for designated section and staff, and assigns staff based on section needs, available staff, and skill levels. Responsible for training and mentoring staff and facilitates continuous quality care in collaboration with laboratory management. Supervises and evaluates staff, coordinates and administers policies and programs related to laboratory operations. Provides a variety of laboratory support functions and leadership support for laboratory tasks, except those restricted by California law.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or Medical Technology.

CA State Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
