Job Description:

This position is responsible for supporting and coordinating HR programs and initiatives and serves as the initial point of contact for general HR topics. Efforts support managers, employees, and contract resources in a facility that has a workforce in excess of 1700.

Responsibilities:

HRIS and General Support (40%)

Assists employees with issues regarding Kronos.

Resolves issues with new hires regarding access to systems, payroll, benefits, etc.

Works with HRIS team to process SAP changes.

Provides backup administrative support to local recruiter by maintaining interviewing rooms, greeting/escorting candidates, and ensuring interview guides are available for managers conducting interviews.

Serves as first point of contact to local campus employees and contractors regarding general HR topics and inquiries.

Provides support with regards to annual Bonus and Merit Planning and other HR projects as needed.

Updates job descriptions into current templates and saves to common drive.

Works with HR team to post positions Company Program, Diversity, and Charitable Initiatives (30%)

Creates and distributes weekly local campus communications.

Maintains master copy of local campus activities and events calendar.

Liaises with Corporate Affairs to obtain funding for local campus charitable events, organizes onsite blood drives with American Red Cross, and coordinates logistics and communications for local campus activities and events.

Onboarding and Offboarding Activities (20%)

Conducts local campus New Hire Orientation for incoming FTEs and Interns, prepares new hire and personnel announcements, and completes I-9 Forms.

Ensures completion of new hire paperwork and creates SAP position numbers.

Processes termination paperwork including Payroll Termination Checklist, SAP Data Change Form, and Termination Vehicle Checklist.

Prepares and sends termination information email to separating employees. Wellness and Training (10%)

Coordinates wellness initiatives and works with vendors to ensure local campus fitness center is well maintained.

Coordinates with EAP, Weight Watchers, Corporate Fitness Works, Vanguard in bringing relevant wellness programs onsite, including Flu Shots, Biometric Screenings, and Blood Pressure Clinics.

Works with OD group in scheduling courses, reserving conference rooms, and serving as point of contact for facilitators on local campus.

Communicates key information to course participants and vendors, coordinates catering for events, and ensures vendors are paid promptly.

Experience:

3-5 Experience in a Corporate Environment preferred (Human Resources)

Conceptual Thinking and Resource Management

Computer savvy

Strong Customer Focus and Resource Management

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or Equivalent Experience working in an automotive environment (Strongly desired)
