The HR Generalist provides a broad range of HR support to leaders and team members within the business, to include employee relations, recruiting and training, succession planning, team member development and retention, performance management and communication of policies, meeting legal requirements and ensuring compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide first line of support to team members and leaders on all human resources matters
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for HR policies and procedures
  • Partner with leadership to address talent and bench planning and proper use of the performance management cycle
  • Respond to team member relation issues and third-party action i.e., unemployment claims, EEO, verification of employment, etc.
  • Conduct presentations and facilitate training on HR related topics
  • Recruit, interview, and recommend hiring decisions for internal and external candidates
  • Oversee HR pre-boarding for new hires to include offer letter generation, completion of background and drug screens for pre-employment, new hire orientation, etc.
  • Design, develop & deliver training by working with subject matter experts, end-users, and leadership to identify training strategies and key training and development deliverables
  • Manage the bi-weekly payroll process, to include monitoring the approval of paid time off, position / pay changes, etc.
  • Generate and maintain various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual HR reports
  • Maintain team member electronic files by uploading employment documents into company/HR system
  • Remain up to date with HR system updates / enhancements and ensure timely communication with the organization to include training where applicable
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations relative to employment law, compensation, benefits, payroll, workers compensation, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years experience as an HR Generalist / Business Partner preferred
  • Previous experience with reporting and analyzing HR data
  • Previous experience running and supporting HRIS / Payroll / Benefits systems and procedures
