Component Engineering is leading the effort to design, test, and deliver advanced technologies for the next generation of reactor plant components. We are seeking a new team member to perform structural evaluations and assist in the design of prototype concepts and test hardware, using a combination of first-principles engineering and finite element analysis. The evaluations performed by the selected candidate will quantify the performance of both new and existing component technologies with a goal of maintaining the U.In this role, the selected candidate will be empowered to enhance their mechanical design, analysis, and collaboration skills through challenging work assignments, mentoring, and in-house training programs. The design and analysis results generated in this role will directly impact ongoing, highly visible technology development efforts. Job responsibilities may include mechanical design, modeling and analysis, and documenting the results of thermal, structural, and material performance evaluations of system components and equipment.
