As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide high quality, compassionate, and professional services to children and their families. Our Speech Language Pathologist have the unique opportunity to build a rewarding career in healthcare and to develop caring relationships. This position is temporary and is based on Momentum's current needs. Speech Language Pathologist Essential Responsibilities: Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment Respects and promotes the right of individuals Identifies different communication styles to develop effective communication with staff, parents, teachers, and community partnersProvides treatment appropriate to the needs of child and their familiesTracks upcoming reports due based on the funderActs as a liaison between the funder (school team, family, etc.) and the leadership team to pro-actively identify areas of concerns and maintain strong relationships with the communityMaintains clinic documentation in a timely fashion, including daily notes in Raintree, and progress reports Collaborates with other service providers, including, when appropriate, other therapists and classroom teacherPerforms other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needsSpeech Language Pathologist Qualifications: Master of Arts or Science degree from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) approved school of Speech Therapy; required Meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, granted by the American Speech-Language Pathology; required Strong Clinical Fellows will be considered Minimum of one (1) year's clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology; required CPR/First Aid certifiedExcellent interpersonal skillsRead, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; requiredAbility to maintain confidentialityPossess sufficient patience and understanding to approach people and their desired wants and needs. Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United StatesAbility to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.\Momentum has a rich history in the South Bay community as a dedicated and forward-thinking non-for-profit clinic for children with a variety of needs. Our multi-disciplinary clinic is designed to provide our speech pathologists with the opportunity to experience collaboration on a whole new level. Our therapists have the opportunity to work in a variety of programs including early intervention programs, AAC development, Early Head Start, Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), Bilingual teams, Social Skills groups, Summer Programs and Parent Training. We also have opportunities for career growth including supervisory roles and program leads for those therapists looking to take on more. Our clinic has multiple treatment gyms, treatment spaces and a warehouse full of toys ready to use. Our speech department is full of excitement to bring on new clinicians to our team to further our mission of treating children of all abilities.
