Responsibilities: Support the business in determining the appropriate accounting treatment of material and complex transactions. Develop and update corporate accounting policies and procedures relating to a wide variety of accounting issues to ensure consistent application of accounting principles across the organization. Prepare technical accounting memorandums documenting conclusions of complex accounting issues and transactions with reference to appropriate accounting literature. Interact with external auditors and business management to ensure appropriate accounting conclusions are reached. Monitor accounting standard development activity proactively and assess the impact of new developments in accounting standards on the company. Lead and advise on the implementation and reporting of the new accounting standards. Preparation and review of annual financial statements and footnotes to ensure compliance with relevant authoritative rules and regulations. Assess business control environment and recommend improvements to mitigate risk. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; or equivalent combination of education and direct work experience. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Proficiency in financial accounting, cash management, corporate finance, and accounting tax rules and laws. Understanding of US GAAP and related experience with technical accounting research and application. Ability to manage competing deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to analyze, research, organize, and interpret data. Skills with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication. #J-18808-Ljbffr
