Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Momentum PTN is currently hiring a full time Occupational Therapist (OT). This position is located in Torrance, CA.Momentum PTN has a rich history in the South Bay community as a dedicated and forward-thinking non-for-profit clinic for children with a variety of needs. Our multi-disciplinary clinic is designed to provide our physical therapists with the opportunity to experience collaboration on a whole new level. Our therapists can work in a variety of programs including, but not limited to, early intervention programs, Early Head Start, Social Skills groups, Summer Programs and Parent Training. We also have opportunities for career growth including supervisory roles and program leads for those therapists looking to take on more. Our clinic has multiple treatment gyms, treatment spaces and a warehouse full of toys ready to use. Our physical therapy department is full of excitement to bring on new clinicians to our team to further our mission of serving children of all abilities. If you are a OT interested in joining an industry leading team of professionals providing exceptional therapy services to children, then we would love to speak with youOccupational Therapist (OT) Essential Responsibilities: Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment Respects and promotes the right of individuals Communicate and develops effective communication with staff, parents, teachers and community partnersDevelops personal professional annual goals related to OTTrack upcoming reports due based on the funder, (e.g., insurance authorization, IEP or IFSP meetings)Attends IEP and IFSP meetings Maintain clinic documentation in a timely fashion, including daily notes in Raintree, progress reports, and re-evaluations (vary by funder for SEIS, private pay, regional centers, insurance companies) Follows and implements company policies Attends required in-service trainings and company meetings Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needsOccupational Therapist (OT)Education and Experience: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy; required Current license** or a limited permit** for license issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy as an Occupational TherapistMust have at least 1-2 years' experience in pediatrics; requiredMust have 1-2 years' experience with feeding; requiredOccupational Therapist (OT)Skills and Knowledge:Excellent interpersonal skillsRead, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; requiredAbility to maintain confidentialityPossess sufficient patience and understanding to approach people and their desired wants and needsCommunicate and work professionally and cooperatively with otherRequirements: Must maintain valid and current proof of legal right to drive in California Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, drug screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbsBenefits (Full-time): Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceLife Assistance ProgramFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Paid HolidaysPaid Vacation/Sick/Bereavement leaveCredit Union Benefits and Discounts$750.00 Referral Bonus ProgramRetirement Plan (403B)Employer Sponsored Life Insurance Direct DepositHands-On Training Flexible Schedule Ideal Candidates: A fun and engaging personality The stamina to play hard and work hard Advocacy and problem solving A team player attitude and the drive to play an active role in helping children achieve their goals and outcomes Strong communication skills and flexibility with your approach With 40 programs and service sites spanning several counties, Momentum is the largest nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Southern California and Illinois.
