Every day you will work on electrical system designs, dense electromechanical integrations, PCB layouts, and frequently contribute hands-on in lab building and debugging electrical systems, ranging from small test systems to fully integrated prototype robots. Robotics includes a broad range of technical subjects within electrical engineering. How you will make an impact:Help design electrical systems in advanced roboticsReview designs and conduct failure analysis and debug activities using string circuit analysis fundamentalsUse schematic capture and PCB layout software (We use Altium)Develop analog circuit designs for all sorts of embedded sensors in robotsWrite firmware in C, program and test embedded designsUse your working understanding of command-line Linux to configure networks and run software on robotsUse a wide variety of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM's, power supplies, programmable loads, and spectrum analyzers to validate designs or figure out hard electrical engineering problemsDesired Experience:Any of the experience listed below would be applicable in this role, it is not expected that candidates would possess all of these qualifications.BS or MS in Electrical EngineeringExperience implementing PCIE and other high speed data technologies in PCB-based devices and systemsExperience designing power electronics from 50W to 10kWExperience using or designing motors and/or motor drives, or other closed loop actuation systemsExperience designing wireless devices, antennas, or other RF applicationsWorking knowledge of Solidworks or other mechanical CAD experienceExperience with Python, LabView, or MATLABExperience in Verilog or VHDLWe are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
