About the Position

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation/Traffic Engineer to join our Transportation Systems Group in New England. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing temporary traffic control plans, construction phasing, and smart work zone design and implementation in accordance with MUTCD and AASHTO design guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop complex Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) for state, municipal, and private clients.
  • Design and implement Construction Phasing Plans for multi-year, multi-stage construction projects.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals to draft plans, calculations, estimates, and specifications for various transportation projects.
  • Write technical reports and memoranda.
  • Perform engineering field work as needed.
  • Manage projects and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
  • AutoCAD experience required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend design and construction specifications and plans.
  • Ability to work outdoors on occasion on highway job sites and uneven terrain.
