Job Description
Tax Manager

Daily Expectations
Full responsibility for tax engagements (individual, partnership, corporation,
estate, gift and trust) as well as related accounting work; be able to manage
several jobs at a time as well as perform detail work, if necessary
Responsible for research
Supervision of staff and assistants, including on the job training

Requirements
Minimum 5-10 years experience (3-5 year at supervisor level) with a public
accounting firm (preferably with a local CPA firm rather than Big 4 or national
firm)
Certified Public Accountant
Minimum Bachelors degree in accounting
Excellent communication skills-written and verbal
Problem solver
Team player/leader
Willing to do detail work to get job done

Preferred Skills
Client Development
Strong accounting skills
Experienced with tax preparation software

Environment
Team environment where you can have input in the direction of firm
Firm commitment to staff development, technology tools
Business casual
