Major activities/key challenges: + Understand Howmet’s strategic priorities, business strategies and standard processes to align the global talent management strategy accordingly; partners with Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and DEI CoEs to ensure a cohesive approach to growing and engaging Howmet’s employees + Consult with Business and HR Leaders to proactively assess talent development needs, delivering impactful talent programs, processes, tools and technology in areas such as leadership development, mentorship programs, succession planning, performance management and career development; establish metrics and evaluation methods to measure program effectiveness and impact + Lead the global performance management process that reinforces corporate performance philosophy and aligns with compensation practices + Recruit, retain and engage a small Talent Management team; foster an environment of innovation HR/Talent Management thinking, accountability and collaboration + Conceptualize, design, produce and deliver training, communication and tools to assist HR teams in communicating, executing, and monitoring talent initiatives; Establish change management plans to facilitate faster adoption to changes in process, policies, and practices, including key stakeholder management and alignment + Provide Organizational Development consultation and customized interventions that facilitate the successful development of teams within the organization + Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices; conduct research and benchmarking to define/source solutions in line with Howmet’s priorities and talent management strategy + Partner with HR technology teams to continuously align business processes and technology platforms, inform the prioritization technology resources and activities, and assist in ensuring the adoption and operational efficiency of those systems + Consult with Global HR customers to validate corporate system requirements and propose solutions that meet their daily work objectives and help them make decisions + Create and manage procedures and work instructions for standard processes across the talent management & development function. Advise and provide input to talent management policies + Report on performance metrics associated to each program to support decision making related to program investments, improvements, prioritization and ongoing effectiveness + Guide, monitor and manage internal team and external vendors (budget and resources) to achieve agreed-upon objectives and plans.
