The Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the engineering and technician support for Reagent Operations. The site manufactures highly technical consumables essential to Beckman Coulter Diagnostics.

This position is part of the Reagent Operations team in Chaska, MN, and will be an onsite role. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Provide direction to the reagent manufacturing engineering team to manage Safety, Strategic Planning, and staffing, while meeting product Quality, Delivery, and Productivity
  • Hire, develop and retain talent in support of site goals and customers' expectations.
  • Drive Continuous Process Improvement and implement new equipment
  • Generate budgets and control expenses related to labor, controllable expenses, and manufacturing variances
  • Lead/Interact with site's functions such as Materials, Procurement, Quality and EHS
  • Coach the team through Product and Process related technical Investigations.
The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Biomechanical Engineering) and 9+ years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to run site daily management meetings and set daily priorities
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide constructive performance coaching to individual contributors and supervisors.
