Department: ProductionReports To: Operations ManagerGENERAL PURPOSE OF JOBThe primary purpose of the Quality Inspector is to conduct comprehensive inspections of all products prior to packaging and shipment. This role necessitates effective communication with the Operations Manager to address and resolve any quality issues that arise. The Quality Inspector is entrusted with maintaining and enforcing the highest standards of quality as established by Classic Rock Fabrication. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES•Follow all safety protocols set forth by Classic Rock Fabrication.•Perform random quality inspections throughout the production process.•Inspect all finished materials in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are met prior to installation.•Conduct piece counts, color/material verification, measurement verification, and job specific cuts.•Report quality issues to the Operations Manager to find resolution.•Ensure proper care and handling of product during inspections, loading, and packaging.•Load finished jobs onto a-frames and secure according to standard procedure.•Prepare packing slips and package finished jobs and when packaging is required.•Mark orders as complete within the ERP system and edit jobs within the system as necessary.•Pair finished jobs with additional required jobsite items.•Maintain an efficient, clean, and organized work area.•Utilize mobile equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes to move material.•Receive and maintain forklift operator certification.•Follow all Company policies and procedures.•Uphold Classic Rock's Core Values.•Perform other duties as assigned by Management to support Classic Rock's Vision and Mission. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.RequirementsEDUCATION/EXPERIENCESix months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSNonePHYSICAL DEMANDSThe position will require the following physical activities on a regular basis; Climbing, Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and handling.The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be approximately 100-200 pounds.There are no special vision requirements.WORK ENVIRONMENTIndoors in a production plant-temperature-controlled environment and outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions.The typical noise level for this job is loud.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONNone
