Supplier Quality Engineer Direct Hire ONSITE

Responsibilities:

Work closely with Purchasing Department in developing a robust supplier base. Perform supplier audits and approve FAI data as required to maintain each supplier's approval status. Communicate non-conformances to suppliers and manage completion of their 8D Reports. Work with Quality Manager to develop quality control plans for all purchase parts. Work with Quality Manager to support Design Reviews (CDR's, PDR's and FDR's). Develop inspection methods that meet requirements outlined in governing drawings. Implement Incoming Inspection process and support Incoming Inspection Team. Write and maintain revision-controlled test instructions for incoming inspection. Perform gage R & R and MSA of measurement equipment as required. Work with Design Engineering and Test Technicians to analyze non-conformances resulting from incoming inspection and record in SAP on purchased material (Q2) Qnote. Work with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to disposition purchased material (Q2) Qnotes and manage follow-on activities (rework, RTV, accept, or scrap) . Lead a recurring RCCA meeting for purchased material (Q2) Qnotes. 25 - 35% Travel required Qualifications and Skills: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years' experience in a supplier quality role. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Experience with CMM programming and/or AOI systems desired. Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 certified QMS desired. Experience with ERP system such as SAP desired. Experience with best-practice industry tools such as RCCA, CAPA, PFMEA, 8D Analysis, DMAIC and SPC desired. Must be familiar with Windows and Microsoft (Outlook, Excel, Power Point) Must have experience reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics.
