The Crowne Plaza - Lake Placid, managed by Essex Hotel Management, is currently seeking a Part-Time Banquet Server.

As an Part-Time Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests during breakfast and dinner hours. You will be expected to take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure that our guests have a pleasant dining experience.

+Responsibilities:

  • Serve food and drinks to guests at large events and banquets, and ensure that guests have a positive experience
  • Set up and prepare: Set tables, arrange decorations, and lay out buffets
  • Serve food and drinks: Carry trays of food, refill drinks, and deliver orders from the kitchen and bar
  • Clear tables: Remove plates and utensils between courses, and replenish water glasses
  • Provide customer service: Answer questions, address needs, and provide feedback to the kitchen
  • Clean: Wash hands, clean tables, floors, and counters, and break down service after the event
  • Follow policies: Adhere to safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Work as a team: Collaborate with kitchen staff, event planners, and other servers

Requirements

- Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or hotel setting preferred

- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds

- Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays
