We are committed to hiring, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce.Job Description Summary:The Leave specialist plays a crucial role in managing and administering all federal and state leave programs, for our team members. You will serve as the main point of contact for team members seeking leave and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement plans, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability, long term disability, supplementary benefits, and 401(k) plan.Job Description:Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)Support the day-to-day outsourced Leave of Absence administration while developing and maintaining relationships with other departments including but not limited to Human Resources, workers compensation, and corporate counsel and assists with the coordination of processes for leave, disability, and absence management programs to ensure appropriate risk management, cost control and adherence to the law.Engage with managers and Human Resources in the interactive ADA process and document reasonable accommodationsImplements and executes procedures to collect benefit premiums while teammates are on an unpaid leaveRespond to team members requesting a leave of absence and clearly outline responsibilities and expectations with team members as they prepare for a leave of absence, while on leave, and when returning to workMonitor, support, and maintain the Leave of Absence inbox and HR Help Center cases, applying appropriate sense of urgency to responses and escalating issues as appropriateProvide leave of absence claim management oversight, with the support of our third-party administrator and track and analyze leave of absence data using WorkdayPerform regularly scheduled audits to ensure data accuracy of leave and accommodations; Support reporting and analysis of leave and accommodations dataProvides counsel to managers and team members on various benefit issues and acts as a subject matter expert on benefit topicsEngages vendors to resolve complex benefits issues and communicates findings to affected team membersDocuments process and procedures improvements for future enhancements to plan designFosters an enhanced appreciation of Federal, state, and municipal privacy requirements to ensure compliance.Conducts monthly new hire benefits orientation programs.Performs other related duties, as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities?(i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.)No XBasic Education and/or Experience RequirementsBachelors degree in business administration, Finance, or HR; and at least two (2) years experience in Leave Administration and Benefits/HR supportORA High School Diploma or GED and at least five (4) years of experience in Leave Administration and Benefits/ HR support. Workday experience is preferred.Basic QualificationsKnowledge of confidentiality requirements associated with the practice of Human ResourcesStrong knowledge of federal and state leave administration and employee benefits as they relate to leave of absence, including short/long term disability, COBRA, and state disability pay.Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Knowledge of benefits administration policies, practices, and procedures.Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for servicesPhysical Demand RequirementsN/ATravel Requirements: (if required)Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or Finance with 3 years of leave and benefits administration and analysis.This job description is to be used as a guide for accomplishing Company and department objectives, and only covers the primary functions and responsibilities of the position.
