The Maintenance Engineer II supports the general maintenance of the hotel. Areas of responsibility include: painting, pools, flooring, doors, heating/cooling units, other general upkeep, and additional duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities The Maintenance Engineer supports the general maintenance of the hotel. Other duties include: Responding to both customer and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately Providing value added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations Maintaining problem log book to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizing efforts accordingly Reporting any hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and taking immediate action to correct Communicating effectively with guests, co-workers and supervisors Working with outside contractors as necessary to assist them in performing maintenance or construction projects Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson Blu experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of, genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility, and uses teamwork when providing guest service Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution, and follows through when resolving guest problems Provides Yes I Can genuine hospitality and teamwork on an ongoing basis Assumes the responsibility to notice when the guest is not satisfied and uses their best judgment as to when it is appropriate to use the 100% Guest Satisfaction Performs other duties required to provide the service brand behavior and genuine hospitality Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest Requirements/Skills Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+years of general facility maintenance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a driving record check Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills Works well independently or as part of a team Strong attention to detail Commitment to exceptional guest service Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling all situations Adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays Experience in pool maintenance, HVAC units, plumbing, and electrical work is also a benefit Certifications for HVAC CPO preferred. Physical Demands Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to hear with 100% accuracy with correction Ability to stand and exert well paced mobility for an eight (8) hour shift Ability to lift, pull, push up to 100 pounds on an ongoing basis Must be able to squat, bend, kneel and twist on an ongoing basis Other Information The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move associates from their accustomed shift and alter assigned duties as business dictates.
