We are hiring a Chief Information Systems Officer who drives the strategic and tactical technological direction for Sequoia Living, ensuring the delivery of high availability, cost-effective and secure systems to support business operations and enhance service quality throughout Sequoia Living. Partners with the President/CEO and leadership team to provide vision and direction for the planning and implementation of information systems that support the overall strategic organizational goals. If you are excited about the opportunity to make a difference every day, then this role may be for you What You Will Do: Develops and executes Information Technology (IT) strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by encouraging innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future IT systems within the organization across multiple locations. Oversees the planning, implementation, and support of all technology-related needs, including projects related to selection, acquisition, development and installation of major applications and information systems for Sequoia Living. Manages teams that evaluate, select, implement, and maintain information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems. Implements systems to measure success. Promotes a culture of information security, privacy, innovation, and digital transformation. Establishes and maintains the deployment of standards spanning both applications and infrastructure. Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures aimed at maximizing effectiveness and minimizing costs. Continuously drives the advancement of technology as a business solution. Identifies organizational and customer needs, develops and translates into action plans. Partners with key internal customers to foster and advance business-driven technology. Enhances the development of technical skills of all employees and drives continual progression towards self-service in the use of applications. Develops and enforces procedures to ensure the protection of Sequoia Living IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by Sequoia Living. Ensures technical infrastructure is safe, secure, and operating optimally. Develops, recommends, coordinates and implements new or revised procedures and programs to ensure the continued effectiveness of enterprise-wide software applications. Identifies opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems, including staffing, sourcing and purchasing. Collects, extracts, and analyzes data for information reporting to provide insight into key metrics for operational and financial performance monitoring. Stays current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies relevant to Sequoia Living. Advocates Sequoia Living IT vision and advises and educates management on these aspects. Develops the technology vision and planning process that will regularly evaluate existing technology, information systems, and staffing, research new solutions and technologies and recommend changes. Reviews all hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and involves other management team members as appropriate. Develops and monitors annual operating and capital budgets for information technology and systems. Interviews, hires, supervises, trains, motivates and provides performance management of staff. Ensures all information systems and networks operate according to internal standards, external accreditation standards, regulatory and legal requirements including HIPAA. Who You Are: Fifteen or more years of progressive IT management experience with working knowledge of technology standards, business applications, technology platforms and user support. Ability to lead and consult with cross-functional teams for software deployments, upgrades and integration. Ability to plan and structure projects and coordinate and engage the necessary resources to deliver effective IT systems. Foresight and ability to anticipate business needs. Strong project management, organization and analytical skills. Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with vendors, management and staff from all levels. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Proficient verbal and written English communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to maintain a harmonious work environment. Understanding of business relationships and confidentiality principles and adherence to those principles. Bachelor’s degree required with emphasis in computer science and management information systems, Master’s degree preferred. Minimum ten (10) years progressive experience leading IT operations, preferably in a healthcare environment. Proven expertise in implementing, updating, and upgrading applications is essential. Prior experience leading the technology function across multiple locations highly preferred. Valid Current California driver license, proof of insurance, clean driving record, and ability to travel to multiple locations on a regular basis.
