Responsibilities:

Noblis MSDs mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is looking to hire a Submarine Systems Engineer.

Noblis MSD is seeking an Engineer with a background in submarine systems to support submarine auxiliary/machinery systems.

Roles and responsibilities may include:

  • Support testing and troubleshooting efforts (lab-based and shipboard) for auxiliary machinery control systems (propulsion controls, indicator drive units, hotwell controls).
  • Develop, review, update, and execute test plans/procedures.
  • Evaluate technical information received from the Fleet (Fleet messages, advisories, etc.).
  • Develop, review, update technical documentation.
  • Provide engineering support for design, repair, installation, modification, maintenance, and operation of systems.

This will be a hybrid work environment based out of the Philadelphia, Navy Yard.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in engineering and minimum 5 years of related experience, or High School Diploma and 11 years of related experience; or equivalent experience serving on a Nuclear Submarine.

  • Prior Navy Nuclear training required
  • 25% travel required
  • DoD Secret is desired; the ability to get a Secret Clearance is required
Desired Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot challenging technical issues
  • NAVSUP experience

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis total compensation package for employees.

Posted Salary Range:
USD $67,800.00 - USD $118,700.00 /Yr.
