Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Supervise quality assurance functions, coordinate, and assign internal audits, projects and support other activities as directed by the quality manager. Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with company goals and objectives. Conduct routine quality management system audits to assure conformance with contractual and company requirements. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure quality standards are integrated into every phase of the development lifecycle. Test Planning and Execution: Create detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases to validate software functionality. Lead the execution of test plans, ensuring thorough coverage and timely delivery. Automation and Tooling: Drive the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency. Evaluate and integrate new testing tools and technologies to improve overall QA processes. Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the QA team and track performance against these metrics. Continuously monitor and report on the quality of deliverables, identifying areas for improvement. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and support, to address quality concerns and implement improvements. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure a shared understanding of quality expectations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a QA leadership role, with a track record of successfully leading and developing QA teams. Must be a US citizen. This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. Must have 10+ years of recent and related quality assurance work experience. In lieu of degree: Candidates with 14+ years of recent and related work experience will be considered. Ability to work in industrial/administration spaces, often in remote environments where hazards are present that requires specialized training (fall protection, energized equipment, forklift operation, etc.). Knowledge of Aerospace Standard AS9100 or ISO9000. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
