Job Title: Quality Inspector

At Terran Orbital, we are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our satellite products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain inspection reports to ensure compliance with applicable specifications and standards.
  • Perform FAI, in-process, final part, and raw materials inspections to identify and address any quality or compliance issues.
  • Maintain calibration of quality control equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Document and record all inspection and evaluation results using visual, dimensional methods, and standards on company documentation forms and records.
  • Tag and segregate non-conforming materials as discovered, and generate required non-conforming reports as necessary.
  • Review and evaluate certifications, parts, and services for compliance with applicable specifications, purchase order requirements, and established standards.
  • Maintain and enforce material traceability using material stamping and marking.
  • Maintain the integrity of the quality control documentation system.
  • Maintain attention to detail and completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Communicate all ideas for process improvements or tooling to the Quality Engineer.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and production experience in a machine shop environment.
  • CMM programming experience.
  • Solid understanding of test and measuring equipment (micrometers, dial indicators, CMM, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts, including fractions, ratios, and proportions.
  • Understanding of ISO and AS9100.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and 3-D models.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of GD&T principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information written and oral.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good knowledge of the methods of machining.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Salary Range: $35.00/hr.

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Physical Demands:

An employee must meet the physical demands described to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit or stand for long durations of time, in addition to bending, reaching, and walking. This would require the ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. This position is generally sedentary, with substantial computer usage.

Work Environment:

The job operates in a professional office environment but in a manufacturing company. This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.
