Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations across various international markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, exceptional financial acumen, and a keen eye for detail. Reporting directly to the Global Controller, the Global Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and driving strategic financial initiatives to support the company's continued growth and success.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
Global Consolidation: Manage the consolidation of financial results from ~10 international subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to FP&A Team.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Audit Management: Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors during annual audits, coordinating audit schedules, providing requested documentation, and addressing audit findings.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen internal controls to support scalable growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and other departments to support strategic initiatives, mitigate financial risks, and drive operational excellence.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the accounting team, supervise and review the work of a team of 4 - 5 FTE's.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA certification preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of Corporate Accounting accounting experience, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial role managing a team of 3 or more.
Strong technical accounting skills and comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards.
Proven experience managing global financial operations, including consolidation of international subsidiaries.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience with Netsuite, preferred
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.
