Job Description:

Dewberry is looking for a motivated Accounting Intern to join the Accounting and Finance Department in our corporate office in Fairfax, Virginia. The Accounting Intern will assist the finance department with a wide range of duties from preparing and analyzing data as well as learning about accounting and finance activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
  • Prepares and reviews monthly payments for rent for multiple locations
  • Prepares and tracks property tax fillings and payments
  • Assists with data entry
  • Assists with preparation of various reports
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills & Required Experience:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Great attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of efficiency and accuracy
  • Strong work ethic, task-oriented, reliable
