Senior Brand Marketing Specialist

Mahwah, NJ

We are looking for a strategic and passionate marketer to join our Brand Marketing team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Brand Marketing as the Senior Marketing Specialist, you will help lead the planning, execution, and measurement for local sales promotion and product marketing campaigns and tactics in the U.S. This work will span most marketing channels, with a focus on digital, social and influencers to help connect with our consumers in a personal and relevant way.

You will work in close collaboration with the Sr. Manager to identify marketing opportunities to create and implement effective marketing campaigns that help deliver our sales goals and exceed our business partners' expectations in the process. This includes driving growth among emerging areas of our business such as Online Sales and our Fully-Electric and Plug-in Hybrid vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with broader marketing team leads to create annual marketing plans and campaigns to support and drive business results.
  • Work closely with Sr. Manager to deliver large scale global campaigns through Volvo's innovative Engine model to support the Volvo brand & media partnerships.
  • Support Sr. Manager in regional and local retailer campaigns to deliver a stronger end-to-end consumer experience across national and retailer cooperative advertising.
  • Act as a conduit between Marketing, Sales and Digital to ensure monthly offers are aligned on-time, and placed online and trafficked to media swiftly to enable strong monthly results.
  • Lead the creation of all retailer marketing materials (print, digital, email, direct mail, social media and video assets) in close collaboration with all relevant internal content engine teams and external agencies.
  • Gain a full understanding of business goals, needs and programs to properly brief agencies, work with vendors and execute requests.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure work is completed in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Monitor all campaigns and review performance to identify areas for optimization.
  • Track, monitor and report on competitive best practices.
  • Support management meetings (Quarter by Quarter reviews, Conferences, Volvo Retailer Conferences, etc.) with marketing plans and materials.
  • Develop and maintain consistent marketing communications that are on brand, on target, and on time.
  • Develop and distribute retailer communications including newsletters, toolkits and announcements.
  • Ensure the Volvo brand is properly portrayed throughout marketing initiatives, compliant to guidelines.
  • Provide support and content for virtual and in-person marketing events.
  • Be an internal and external expert our marketing strategy, philosophy and products.
  • Think creatively and bring new ideas and strategies to the larger marketing team.
Experience Required:
  • 3-5+ years of marketing experience. Automotive marketing experience is a plus.
  • Experience in film production across digital, social and media partnerships.
  • Ability to plan & execute all creative campaigns throughout lifecycle and across tiers.
  • Ability to define relevant KPIs and measure success of campaigns.
  • Experience coordinating creative development between internal and external stakeholders, and partner agencies.
  • Drives collaboration with other teams across multiple business functions across the company.
  • Delivers clear and concise communication skills across various mediums (Ex. Meetings, emails and virtual meetings) with both internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrates a creative mindset or appreciation for creative thinking through new approaches on how we go to market and challenges conventional thinking.
  • Remains flexible and responsive to changing priorities and unexpected requests.
  • Ability to retrieve, track and communicate relevant information and market trends.
  • Results oriented and team-player; makes an impact across cross functional teams, organizations.
  • Excellent presentation skills; Confidently deliver content to small and large audiences alike whether in person or virtual.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel skills.
