JOB TITLE


Single Family Closing Specialist (Temporary position to last approx 6 months)

HOURLY PAY RATE

$18 - $20 per hour (approximately 12 - 15 hours per week)

SUMMARY
Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations for the Single-Family Loan Program and Mortgage Revenue Bond Loan (MRB) program by preforming the audit of closed mortgage loans administered by the agency, including applications of rules and guidelines of mortgage lending with FHA, VA or Conventional and ensure compliance with the IRS for Tax Exempt Mortgage Revenue Bonds.

PROGRAM DUTIES
  • Provides technical assistance for implementation of program procedures, IRS compliance and FHA, VA and Conventional guidelines for applicable Single Family Loan programs interested parties such as lenders, realtor, lending underwriters and customers.
  • Sets up program(s) in Single Family System, enters interest rate changes and/or enters information and updates from HUD on an as necessary/available basis.
  • Technically assist with loan reservation system by tracking, acquiring, and processing compliance documents from Participating Lenders and attaches documents to the compliance files in the Single-Family System. Handles cancellations, updates and assists in the data entry of compliance files.
  • Answer's phone, drafts and sends e-mails, faxes, open and routes incoming mail, prepares general correspondence and outgoing mail and disseminates program information.
  • Audits all programs and documents for accuracy and compliance with governmental regulations, FHA, VA, USDA-RD, HUD-184 and Freddie Mac.
  • Assist Supervisor/Director with the processing of computer Import and Export of system data to/from the Master Servicer daily.
  • Provide information to supervisor/director on programs development and/or problems.
  • Responsible for whatever needs to be completed to enhance the overall operations of the Agency on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers by being always polite and helpful.
PROGRAM TRAINING
Attend internal team training as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; Two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two-year related experience and/or training in Real Estate lending practices and Government entities such as FHA, VA, USDA-RD, HUD 184 and Conventional.

Current and valid state issue Identification
Must be bondable.
