ClimateMaster is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with experience in identifying sources of supplies and evaluating vendor capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for recommending material substitutions, expediting orders, and reconciling discrepancies in shipments and/or invoices with vendors and contractors. The Procurement Specialist will work closely with outside vendors as well as internal departments, providing exceptional service to all customers. Key responsibilities include ordering all assigned parts within the required lead-time and in the appropriate quantities, taking responsibility for assigned parts and preventing shortages, verifying vendor orders, and notifying production control of production requirements exceeding part availability. The Procurement Specialist will also be responsible for entering orders into the AS400 promptly and accurately, cross-training to ensure the purchasing department functions properly at all times, and creating and implementing solutions to purchasing problems. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with a bachelor's degree preferred. One to three years' experience in a similar position is required, with experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of AS400 are essential, with ERP systems experience preferred. The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
