Patient Services Representative

The Patient Service Representative is responsible for a variety of administrative functions and patient care activities in support of the clinic to include - checking-in/out patients, collecting co-pays, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments and assisting clinical staff to provide support for the efficient delivery of patient care. The Patient Services Representative will ensure waiting area is always neat; answers phones to include scheduling/following up appointments; enters patient demographics into EMR. The Patient Service Representative is responsible for collecting co-pays, prepayment and any outstanding balances. The Patient Services Representative will work the assigned 'buckets' in the EMR.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of medical office experience preferred
  • Customer Service skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience with Epic a plus
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
