About This Opportunity

This Global WorkPlace Technologies position is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of the Microsoft Active Directory and DNS systems both on-prem and cloud based.

The ideal candidate is expected to be a thought leader on strategic decisions as well as operational support.

This individual contributor position will be an integral part of a dynamic, cross functional Global WorkPlace Technologies team that is responsible for the engineering, operations, and support of InComm's enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, implement, and support Microsoft best practices for both on-prem and cloud-based directory services, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
  • Thought leader in directory services and DNS in cloud environments (primarily Azure)
  • Monitor both reliability and security of multiple domains to ensure 99.9% uptime and zero security incidents related to identities and systems access
  • Maintain replication, trusts, server resources to ensure optimal Active Directory / DNS environments
  • Identify "tech debt" and non-standard best practices and bring innovative solutions to eliminate potential issues before they arise
  • Identify and build automation to simplify management and increase efficiency
  • Learn and understand the core business to find innovative solutions to issues the business may be facing
  • Implement Group Policy based on Microsoft best practices and identify issues within Group Policy using AGPM
  • Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps
  • Mentor junior Active Directory Engineers to build strong working relationships and knowledge
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent and relevant Active Directory experience
  • 1 - 3 years' experience implementing complex technology solutions, requirements gathering, and working with application teams
  • 3 - 5 years (expert knowledge) Active Directory / DNS / DHCP experience with both on-prem and cloud-based (primarily Azure) platforms
  • 3+ years' experience in IT
  • In-dept knowledge of PowerShell
KSA (Knowledge; Skills; Abilities):
  • Ability to support all aspects of Active Directory and DNS functions to ensure foundational services are always up and functional
  • Ability to effectively communicate to both internal and external teams and vendors to relay requirements / needs
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve in a timely manner with little support from team members who may be working other issues
  • Ability to understand highly technical documents and requirements and translate into an executable plan for implementation
  • Understand and apply best practices for Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and other foundational technologies
