This role is based out of Glendale, AZ and will be required to travel to our data center locations.
Your Role:
The IT Engineer IV is responsible for providing senior level expertise on decisions and priorities system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system. The role will facilitate the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines that guide the design of technology solutions including implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise.
Additionally, this role will develop solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues. The incumbent will be recognized expert in systems administration who provides guidance and internal consulting expertise toward integration multiple systems. Lastly, may provide guidance/training to other staff, while developing and maintaining product lifecycles for enterprise level software and hardware.
Your work:
•Directs others in performing capacity and resource planning, assesses risks, and creates contingency plans for high complexity systems.
•Responsible for significant contributions to enterprise wide planning efforts.
•Performs design and engineering relating to operations, installation, and/or maintenance of highly complex IT infrastructure such as telecom/data networks, servers, data center physical infrastructure, and information security deployed in local, off-site and/or remote locations.
•Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the configuration, deployment, testing, maintenance, monitoring and trouble-shooting of infrastructure components to provide a secure, high performance environment.
•May also provide consulting for highly complex application development, database design, network, and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and IT standards and policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
•Provides technical leadership in the design, development and deployment of software and hardware solutions.
•Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies to better serve the enterprise's needs.
•Makes contributions strategy and system deployment consistent with company objectives and generally accepted principles.
•May serve as technical lead, for the resolution of highly complex problems.
•Contributes to the development of procedures and process for routine tasks.
•Facilitates the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines for technology solutions within his or her area of expertise.
•This includes implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and/or applications across the enterprise.
•Ensures efficient and reliable functioning of integrated systems.
•Reviews current and proposed business practices for management, backup, recovery, archival technology and procedures.
•Develops and implements changes though normal change control processes.
•May direct others in accomplishing needed activities.
•Creates, updates, maintains technical documentation such as detail drawings of routing and other key data for electrical power, network, telephony, HVAC
and related systems for the operation of data centers and offices, standards for all network/telecom systems and environments, as well as communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations.
•Participates in rotating on-call support. Responsible for resolution of service outages and other service problems during an on-call period.
•On call may occur during standard or non-standard business hours.

•Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
