This a multifaceted role encompassing a wide range of duties and responsibilities to run Pasturebird operations efficiently as the business continues to grow.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlan and oversee schedules and rotations in partnership with leadership including livestock operations (breeding, feeding, and healthcare)Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective farm operations. Monitor financial performance, analyze data, and make informed decisions to optimize profitability.Hire, train, and supervise farm staff. Experience with poultry is required.The ideal candidate will have:Solid grasp of preventative maintenance (structures and equipment) such as greasing, oil changes and routine inspectionsUnderstanding of electrical systems for trouble shooting such as solar systems/pv arrays and dc current, 3phase power/vfds plc operation, basic wiring and poultry auger systemsSafety assessment experience such as monitor building for safe operation and others similar to preventive maintenance but needs to be observed in operationUnderstand appropriate/safe equipment operation relating to tractors, fork lifts, man lifts, skid loadersStrong familiarity with Microsoft Office and comfortable with Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.Solid track record of problem solving and fixing and preventing future challengesEnvironmental Factors and Physical Requirements1. Must be physically able to work in all locations including hatcheries, feed mills, chicken houses and processing plants. 2. Exposed to seasonal weather conditions as well as significant amount of airborne dust, feathers, 3. When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company. 4. Exposure to chicken manure and associated odors, including ammonia, especially in the production houses. 5. Required to perform moderate physical exertion to include pushing pulling and lifting up to 75 lbs. 6.
