Our Houston branch is looking for a new LCL Operational Care Specialist to join our Sea Logistics team. Your Role Reporting to the Sea Logistics Operational Care Manager, Export, you will be responsible for processing all LCL Export bookings tendered via the Kuehne+ Nagel e-commerce tool with high accuracy by using proprietary forwarding applications. Execution to be performed in line with company operational procedures,sea logistics standards and compliance guidelines with focus on ensuring operational excellence and great customer service in collaboration with other team members. Your Responsibilities Highest quality of Customer Service. Responsibilities include maintaining communication withvendor, shipper, customer, carrier and Kuehne+Nagel overseas offices throughout the process.Work with team members to establish customer profile and credit terms.You will manage all customer contact at file level regarding exceptions.You will increasecustomer service satisfaction and business share through quality customer contact.Responsible to review original quotation and ensure that an updated quotation matching to theactual cargo specifications is presented to the client.Consult shippers on compliance matters and regulatory obligations to help source proper SLI(shipper letter of instruction) information.You will coordinate with shippers, truckers and carriers (SaCo Gateway / Co-loaders) for the export ofshipments; complete process of shipment including arranging for cargo collection and inland transportation, booking, document preparation (bill of lading, billing invoice, certificate of originand/or AES if applicable), forwarding, follow up with tracking and tracing, data qualityrequirements, FSL, problem identification/resolution where capable/authorized.Action booking according to myKN Quote & Book process, including linking of QBT-Nr. to theactual booking allowing customer visibility on myKN Track.Ensure highest level of data quality by processing the shipment accurately Review and ensure alignment of shipping instructions and to clarify any deviations/conflicts.Your Skills and Experiences 2+ years current industry work experience in LCL sea logistics.You have working knowledge of domestic and international geography, including countries, majorcities, seaports; basic knowledge of U.S. Administration Regulations (FMC, EAR, Hazmat) andother government agency requirementsProficient in MS Office ApplicationsYou have the ability to report to the office 4 days per week.You have the ability to travel to Detroit, MI during your second week of employment for in person New Hire Sea Logistics Training.Good Reasons to Join There has never been a better time to work in logistics.
