Responsibilities:

Job Purpose:

This position is part of the EHS and Asset Management and its purpose is to promote the safety and health culture at the Plant by adhering to the Morgan Global policy, management system and applicable legal requirements, for the prevention of risky conduct and conditions, as well as the mitigation of incidents that contribute to the creation of a safety culture and prevention of environmental contamination. Likewise, it is responsible for managing the systems, resources and applicable documentation in order to guarantee the Asset Security of the Plant.
It will be responsible for the delivery of business behavior safety programs and ensuring that corporate requirements are executed as planned.

Main Responsabilities:

Responsible for being the main contact with all regulatory authorities for inspections that the plant receives.
Responsible for the Health, Safety and Environment Policy of the Plant; for its maintenance and dissemination and for ensuring its compliance.
Responsible for the Property Security Policy of the plant, for its maintenance, dissemination and for ensuring its compliance.
Responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all legal requirements in terms of environment, health and safety, with all regulatory inspections planned and recorded, and ensures that corrective or improvement actions are completed in a timely manner.
Responsible for authorizing the work programs of the Occupational Health area, as well as measuring and providing feedback on the results of these actions, in order to constantly improve the service.
Actively participates and contributes to multidisciplinary teams during the development of new projects, analysis of emerging situations, evaluation of risks derived from internal or external contingencies; shares specialized knowledge; Attends work meetings in order to contribute to the Plant's business results.
Is responsible for leading investigations into Safety, industrial or property incidents and accidents that occur at the plant, in order to document corrective actions to prevent their recurrence.
Is responsible for maintaining periodic indicator reports related to Industrial, Property, Hygiene and Environmental Safety, in order to measure, provide feedback and improve the Plant's Safety, Hygiene, Environmental and Property system.

Property safety incidents/accidents at the Plant
Environmental safety incidents/accidents at the Plant
Compliance with legal requirements for plant operation
Chronic and acute occupational injuries

Qualifications:

Experience and Background

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5-10yrs experiences in a similar risk profile manufacturing process e.g., experience of furnaces, hazardous materials, machinery and equipment, fire and or explosion risks, etc.
  • At least 4 years of Auditing experience.
  • Demonstrable track record in creating or delivering behavioral based safety programs.
  • To have worked within the Aerospace, Medical or Automotive sectors.
  • At least 5 years experience in a Health & Safety Management.
  • 5+ Years experience in conducting accident and incident investigations.
  • High degree of computer literacy and numeric skills and a competent user of Microsoft applications.
  • The presence to communicate & influence at the highest level.
  • Previous experience of dealing with environmental, health and safety matters in a fast-moving dynamic environment and be comfortable conducting risk assessments across all areas of a varied business.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access); advanced proficiency in Excel is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of English
  • Knowledgeable in Mexican Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.
