Key Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor. Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries with accuracy and efficiency. Verify and update patient information, including insurance details and medical histories. Check patients in and out, manage appointment scheduling, and coordinate follow-up visits. Collect and process payments, co-pays, and handle insurance authorizations as needed. Maintain and update patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, faxing, and data entry. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any issues that arise.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in medical office administration is a plus. Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered care. Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is desirable. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A friendly and professional attitude with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
