At Webster Dental Care, we pursue excellence through continuing education, personal and team growth, and mastering leading-edge technology.Position: Treatment Coordinator (TC)ORG Type: AdminReports to: Practice ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDate: May 1, 2023Core CompetenciesProficient negotiating skillsEffective Interpersonal communication and customer service skillsDemonstrated financial and business acumenRoles and ResponsibilitiesThe Treatment Coordinator's (TC) primary responsibility is to clearly explain the treatment options and related financial responsibility to the patient. The TC acts as a liaison between the doctor and the patient and is tasked with gathering information in the new patient experience, in addition to coordinating a treatment plan and effectively presenting it to the patient.Duties include, but are not limited to:Maintain optimization of doctor's scheduleKnowledgeable about the treatment and timelines, and they are prepared to negotiate financial arrangements with the clients to maximize adoption ratePresent and complete treatment plans and ensure appropriate documentation and system records completionCalculate and collect copays accordingly; responsible for some internal accounting duties that support the practice's goals for profitability.Call insurance to verify patient benefits ensuring completing of all benefit requirements and collection accuracyMaintain 95% appointment confirmationAttend to incoming calls and maintain callbackProvide a calming environment to care for patients concerns about treatment and affordabilityOther duties as assigned RequirementsRequired Qualifications and SkillsHS Diploma or Equivalent2 years' experience in dentistry fieldClinical background/insurance experience a plusIn-depth knowledge of dentistry and ability to describe procedures in simple languageSuperb interpersonal skills and friendly customer service skillsSelf-directed and motivated individual with proficient Influencing/negotiation skillsProficient in basic computer applications with the ability to learn new softwareDemonstrate ability to perform basic arithmetic to understand general ledger and insurance benefitsFamiliarity with ADA codesAbility to function within a teamPhysical DemandsAbility to continuously sit, stand or walk for extended periodsAbility to wear a facemask for long durationsWork EnvironmentWork will be completed at a dental practice
