Thorough understanding of legal principles and their application to risk management within a corporate context.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess legal risks and provide strategic advice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.

Attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations.

Proficiency in legal research and writing

Excellent negotiation skills

Excellent verbal reasoning ability

Knowledge of international trade laws and regulations relevant to the freight logistics industry

Understanding of insurance law and principles, particularly as they relate to cargo, transportation, storage and freight forwarders risks

Awareness of emerging legal risks and regulatory trends impacting the logistics industry

Qualifications:

B.Com Law or similar degree

Proven history of academic excellence

Minimum 5 years experience practicing law, with a focus on maritime and corporate law, within the logistics industry

Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including transportation agreements, insurance contracts, and risk management policies.

Familiarity with legal frameworks and regulations governing the freight and logistics industry.
