Reporting to Head of Technology Platform Strategy and Architecture, the Technology Infrastructure Transformation Lead is accountable for leading the research and development of technology architectures, for the planning and development of solutions as part of the overall Technology Platform in support of business requirements, and for leading and handling operational activities as part of architecture governance. The lead is responsible for leading and managing needs assessments for technology projects involving hardware, storage, networking technologies, data center and for providing technical expertise in the development of the architecture framework.

What to expect

In this role you will:

  • Build a positive relationship across the Infrastructure and engineering organizations and drive the transformation roadmap
  • Come up with the best- in- class network services roadmap in partnership with the network leader
  • Analyze and understand user needs and expectations, as well as alternative infrastructure architectures and trends
  • Conduct analyses of technology and associated operational processes, with a view to recommending infrastructure designs and strategies that will improve service, lower costs, and prevent unforeseen operational issues
  • Design services in the area of technology solutions, operations architecture and SWIFT standards
  • Articulate key aspects of architecture and design (e.g., scalability, availability, manageability, robustness, appropriate incorporation of new technology) through models, documentation, and code; present architectures to executive management, clients, and developer teams
  • Implement projects using various technology solutions
  • Have solid experience with On-Prem and Cloud Infrastructure services
  • Have an Infrastructure Advanced Certification (VMware, Microsoft, RedHat, Cisco, etc.) or hyperscaler Advanced Certification (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Have experience with Private / hybrid cloud solutions either commercial tools (VMware, BMC, HP, Cisco, Microsoft) or OpenSource (Openstack, Cloudforms, etc.)
  • Have experience with automation and Orchestration of infrastructure operational processes (Ansible, BMC, VMware, Red Hat, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
  • Have knowledge of main hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V) and network virtualization (NSX, etc.)
  • Be familiar with main operating systems (Linux and Windows) and middleware (appservers, webservers, databases and others)
  • Have experience with Containers (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
  • Have experience in technology consulting assignments
  • Have experience with Data Center Transformation assessments
  • Define Infrastructure Strategies and Roadmap
  • Conduct Architecture Design and Implementation of Infrastructure and Automation Solutions
  • Do optimization of compute and storage
  • Migrate between Data Centers and/or to Cloud
  • Develop a solid understanding of Service Management principles
  • Develop mechanisms and controls to meet security and audit compliance
  • Use Zero Trust Architecture, Firewalls, and Load Balancers; and automation tools for monitoring and configuration management.
What will make you successful?

We are seeking professionals with:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (i.e., Business, Computer Science or Information Systems) from an accredited college/university
  • Experience in defining and driving the Infrastructure transformation for mid to large sized organizations
  • Experience working in a secure fintech environment with an understanding of applications and infrastructures, including HPC (High-Performance Computing) and confidential compute
  • 20+ years of progressive experience as a hands-on technical leader in a large technology organization with international work experience
  • Experience embracing and working as a leader of agile methodology for Cloud and DevOps
  • Experience in leading direct and indirect orgs of staff
  • Experience successfully leading multi-functional relationships with senior functional leaders
  • Experience driving application rationalization and transformation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop short- and long-term strategies
  • Demonstrable experience in building, developing and engaging a successful distributed team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to influence partners
  • Travel may be required based on needs

The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Virginia is $118,790 to $220,610. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
