Role Overview

The Process Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing Photolithography processes while supporting daily manufacturing operations. This role involves:

  • Addressing production challenges and collaborating with the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team to devise solutions.
  • Formulating recovery plans with shift teams for tool downtimes, problem product lots, and quality deviation events.
  • Utilizing statistical process controls and data analysis to monitor and enhance the performance of photolithography tools.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in:

  • Fault detection and classification (FDC), statistical process control (SPC), and run-to-run (R2R) methodologies.
  • Ensuring that appropriate SPC and FDC limits are established and documented.
  • Leading initiatives for excursion and scrap reduction, conducting root cause analyses for quality deviations.
  • Identifying opportunities for margin improvement and supporting availability enhancement projects in collaboration with the equipment engineering team.
  • Participating in the periodic review of equipment failure modes and driving improvement activities.
Project Involvement

Engagement in labor productivity and quality improvement projects through the development of complex automation processes using programming tools such as UI Path is essential. The role also includes:

  • Driving process characterization activities and identifying limitations in process margins.
  • Preparing engineering change documentation to support proposed modifications.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to achieve project goals related to cost, yield, quality, and output improvements.
Collaboration and Representation

Close collaboration with yield enhancement and process integration teams is crucial to identify and address process improvement needs. The Process Engineer will represent the area in various technical meetings, focusing on:

  • Daily yield and quality discussions.
  • Process integration yield focus meetings.
  • Defect reduction strategy sessions.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in fields such as Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
