Our client is currently looking for a Mammography Tech in Houston, TX

Job Details:

Title: Mammography Tech

Location: On-site –Houston, TX

Hours: Between 8am-5pm Mon-Fri

Length of Engagement: Direct Hire

Rate: Competitive and Dependent on Experience

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Our client is looking for a certified mammography tech who canperform mammography radiographic exams on patients while incorporating all radiation safety procedures: prepping patients, administering contrast, selecting imaging techniques, and maintaining the quality of images
  • Monitor and report patient data
  • Identify accidents or equipment malfunctions to management
  • Maintain safe care for all patients, staff, and visitors
  • Act as mentor and resource for less experienced staff members
  • Help with initial and renewal applications for ACR

Minimum Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and/or a Graduate of an approved program of Mammography Technology

Licenses/ Certifications:

  • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support
  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required
  • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)
  • Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M)
