Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Mammography Imaging Technician who will execute medical imaging techniques and associated procedures to visualize breast anatomy for analysis and/or intervention. This role involves conducting radiographic examinations and effectively addressing predictable challenges while delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care to all individuals within the medical imaging department.
  • Conduct high-quality imaging and examinations on patients while being sensitive to their needs.
  • Operate imaging equipment and perform various mammography-related procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately, selecting appropriate anatomical and technical parameters.
  • Communicate procedures clearly and educate patients on the importance of regular mammography for preventive breast health.
  • Develop and assess imaging films for technical quality, including density contrast, definition, and distortion.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, following all high-level disinfection policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or Technical Degree is required.
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC) is necessary.
  • Radiologic Technologist credential specializing in Mammography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
