About the Role:

In this role you are responsible for mortgage loan servicing including ongoing customer service, billing, payment processing, account maintenance, and document control. You will work in an environment of high work volumes and established deadlines. You will handle assigned tasks according to multiple investor requirements; FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, FHA, VA, RD, and Umpqua bank portfolio loans. This role requires knowledge of lending documents, and investor policies and procedures while assisting with assignments that are complex and specialized in nature. You will work independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

  • Collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to document, communicate, validate, and refine necessary requirements and make recommendations based on product vision and market requirements, research data and organizational goals.
  • Elicits information and ideas from subject matter experts, business owners, vendors, and others regarding existing and proposed business systems.
  • Researches and interprets complex and sometimes competing business needs and translates into application and operational requirements.
  • Assists with business base development and RFP process (as applicable) during the project initiate phase.
  • Assists in integration and user acceptance testing of new or revised workflows, processes, and/or systems.
  • Supports the development of training, as well as implementation and post-implementation material.
  • Serves as a liaison between business units and Technology Advancement Group (TAG) through which requirements flow.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities - knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, project management, business systems, or equivalent preferred.
  • 4-7 years of relevant business analyst and/or project management and/or operations experience related to the assigned business unit function.

  • Advanced data analysis skills including project management and/or operations.
  • Knowledge of banking policies, procedures, practices, and documentation.

The pay range for this role is $18.00 to $24.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
