Job Summary:
This position is an exciting opportunity as a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative in our Personal Lines Department. This individual will be working with our personal lines manager and will be responsible for new business (inside sales) and assisting the service team with existing house accounts to provide professional service and coverage evaluation. We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual who enjoys closing new business to join our dynamic Personal Lines team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make proactive outbound calls to new clients and existing clients to evaluate coverage, cross-sell, and account round.
- Aggressively work internal leads, cross-sell, and referral opportunities from new and existing clients.
- Establish relationships with new and existing customers to help improve retention and develop new sales opportunities.
- Work with our Personal Lines Account Managers to handle new business opportunities and existing house account clients looking for quotes.
- Execute new business and new cross-selling campaigns and follow procedures to round out client accounts.
- Sell personal lines insurance through various prospect contact touch points such as telephone, email, and internet.
- Prepare insurance quotes to prospects and use assumptive closing techniques to close sales.
- Persuasive negotiation skills and highly effective listening and communication skills.
- Facilitate a sales culture to maximize retention, customer satisfaction, and up-sell and cross-sell opportunities with each customer interaction.
- Maintain product knowledge for lines of business written.
- Minimum of two years of work experience in Personal Lines
- Must possess an active MA P&C license (required)
- Bachelor's Degree or the recognized equivalent of experience
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Applied Epic management system preferred
- Experience in an independent agency utilizing multiple carriers.
- Prior use of PL Rater or similar personal lines comparative rater.
