Title: Medicaid Eligibility/MLTC Enrollment Specialist

Location: White Plains, NY

Compensation: $75,000

Overview:

The Medicaid Eligibility/MLTC Enrollent Specialist assists individuals in applying for and obtaining Medicaid benefits/entitlements. The Specialist works with applicants to determine eligibility, gather necessary documentation, and complete the application process.

***The position is based on site in White Plains, NY. Local travel may be required for home visits and participation in networking/outreach events.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all enrollment related activities, such as identifying potential prospects, screening leads to ensure eligibility requirements, setting up in-person/virtual appointments, explaining the program, completing enrollment applications, and submitting enrollments to ACHC
  • Develop in-depth understanding of ACHC's programs including benefits, eligibility requirements, enrollment process, contracted provider network.
  • Serve as account manager/primary contact for ACHC's priority organizations, working with contact at outside entity to problem solve, report on enrollments and work to improve relationship and ultimately increase referrals.
  • Identify home care appropriate clients via internal and external sources.
  • Assists existing clients and families with identifying unmet needs and gaps in services, referred to appropriate programs within JASA and community services. Acted as liaison between JASA programs to ensure that the client's issues are resolved.
  • Educate prospects/families/advocates on Medicaid Eligibility, Medicaid application submission and MLTC enrollment process. Give presentations to diverse and more senior audiences on ACHC
  • Assists prospective members with selecting appropriate partnering contract, maintained communication to ensure successful enrollment.
  • Assists prospects/families/advocates with Medicaid application submissions and followed up on until getting enrolled into Always Compassionate Home Care program.
  • Assures compliance and adherence with Medicaid enrollment and marketing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain daily communication with Supervisor and team members, discuss and solve problematic, loss and successful referrals once a week.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment and coordination teams for the purpose of staffing upcoming cases
  • Maintain and coordinate interdepartmental communication regarding existing and upcoming client services.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent of 5-7 years experience - BA/BS Degree preferred
  • Must be a self-starter with a high level of accountability and responsibility.
  • Thorough and up to date knowledge about Medicaid, Medicaid Eligibility, MLTC, Medicaid application, Spend Down and Pooled Income trust; enrollment policies and guidelines;
  • Strong written and computer skills required.
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage time effectively to achieve end results.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as within a team environment, be flexible, highly organized and be able to prioritize their work.
  • Must have the ability to work in a multicultural environment and perform outreach related activities in the community.
  • Experience in working with elders and disabled individuals.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems/services and/or experience with community organizations, social services and public resources.
  • Exceptional follow-up and time management skills.
