Principal Engineer, IS Reverse Logistics

Description Principal Engineer, IS Reverse Logistics - 100% Remote within the Providence footprint of states (WA, OR, CA, MT, NM, TX, AK) This position will support the IS Asset and Supply Chain Management team in collaboration with 3 rd Party Logistics Partners, End User Support, ServiceNow and Oracle teams to provide world-class IS equipment services to our caregivers. This role will focus on Reverse Logistics activities to support end-to-end asset & inventory management in the entire workstream. Key to this role will be developing & managing the scope of all Reverse Logistics activities for IS Devices. Services to include Asset Retrieval, Asset Re-Use, Asset Disposal and Asset Repair. This role must be experienced in continuous improvement skills & tools to identify and drive improvement opportunities in our processes. Role Description: Manage 3 rd party Reverse Logistics partners services and delivery Monitor Reverse Logistics partners performance to contract Identify opportunities to gain efficiencies both with external partners and internal customers Work with Suppliers to develop robust & cost optimized repair solutions to elongate the life of IS devices Develop, monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Asset & Inventory Mgmt, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed Partner with cross functional teams to develop processes and solutions to better support our Caregiver community Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance caregiver satisfaction Provide analysis & standardize analysis needs to support Asset & Inventory Mgmt teams Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the performance of the Reverse Logistics program. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent educ/experience. 8 years Related experience; more preferred. Strong experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes. Strong experience with n-tier solutions. Strong experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually). Strong experience influencing engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations. Strong experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standups to establish appropriate prioritization of Live Site requirements. Strong experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Strong experience in advanced problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis. Preferred Qualifications: More than 5 yrs experience in Reverse Logistics Certified PMP, Business Analyst or equivalent experience Familiar with ServiceNow and Oracle Salary Range by location: *hourly listed – position is salaried Southern California (except Bakersfield), NorCal (Humboldt) Min: $62.66, Max: $106.68 Texas Min: $45.85, Max: $78.06 Why Join Providence?
