Knowledge and skills required for the position include familiarity with general CNC machine operation and mechanical skills, mechanical problem-solving ability and troubleshooting skills, the ability to read a tape measure, verify dimensions, and use a straightedge and other measuring devices. Candidates must have knowledge of machine drawings, fits, and tolerances and be able to operate lifting devices. They must follow written and oral instructions, communicate effectively in both written and oral forms, adapt to a changing work environment, manage competing demands, and handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, are required. Candidates must also be able to lift and handle components weighing up to 50 lbs, work collaboratively with others, and work independently without constant supervision.
