Special Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or similar preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a transportation specialist in a related industry such as car rental and military fleet responsibilities is preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multitask between multiple simultaneous efforts and requirements daily.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy for compliant and complete reports, documentation, and data entry tasks.
- Valid Driver's License.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation industry regulations.
- Proficiency in transportation management software.
- Superb leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Great communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to provide operational support outside of business hours.
- Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background investigation.
- Defends the DHA vehicle requirements and provides justification for additional vehicle authorizations.
- Properly routes new vehicle requests to next echelon for review and approval.
- Ensures that DHA Activities Vehicles have the appropriate license plates.
- Provides guidance as defined by the DHA Procedure Manual on appropriate measures to prevent misuse, abuse, and damage to all Government Non-Tactical Vehicles.
- Performs data analysis for DHA Transportation Key Performance Indicators, outlined by the Transportation Branch Chief for both Fleet Vehicles and Freight Activities.
- Provides information to DHA customers, Markets and Partners on Transportation Management Policies and Procedures
- Creates presentations and job aids for DHA Transportation Management Branch to include maintenance, training programs, fleet, and freight related data.
- Consolidates, prepares, and submits required reports to the Chief of Transportation Management Branch.
- Evaluates Transportation Policy and Procedures methods defined in DHA Procedure Manuals and Polices
- Performs data analysis for Transportation Management Programs
- Performs data analysis for Freight Management
- Uses data analytics to identify trends for data collected through Transportation Reports
- Creates and implements user accounts for DHA Transportation Management Programs.
- Ensures compliance with DHA Procedure Manuals and Polices for guidance on Transportation Programs.
- Develops, implements, and improves transportation policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with internal departments to optimize transportation services.
- Handles customer queries and resolving complaints in a timely manner.
- Ensures compliance to transportation regulations and policies.
- Maintains Transportation SharePoint site
- Serves as the Fleet/Freight Management customer service/helpdesk point of contact for DHA
